MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Police Department is searching for a man they say stole a necklace worth around $5,700.
In a post to their Facebook page, Memphis Police said that, on October 9, officers were sent to Kay Jewelers at 5955 Poplar Avenue for a felony shoplifting call. MPD said officers were told that a man entered the business and asked to look at a gold chain valued at $5,700. Police said that, once the employee took the chain out of the case, the man grabbed the chain and ran from the jewelry store.
MPD said the man was also seen going into the Target at 5959 Poplar Avenue, and was driving a white 4-door sedan.
