Molly Ringwald attended the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards Monday evening, where she presented an award and posed on the red carpet with Cuban American artist Ruben Toledo. For the event, Ringwald wore an all-black gown, crafted from slightly sheer material. The dress featured a gathered detail on the bodice and softly cascaded down, with an accented strap cutting through the minimalist design.

As an added layer, the “Pretty In Pink” actress wore a black, floor-length, short-sleeve cardigan featuring exaggerated puff sleeves that added volume to the silhouette. Ringwald accessorized with a black clutch and kept her jewelry minimal, wearing a single gold cuff with layered detail.

Her Schiaparelli Visage earrings, depicting a face in gilded brass with red lips and blue enamel eyes, complemented her look. She styled her hair in a neat top knot and kept her makeup simple, opting for a bold red lip that matched the red accents in her earrings and nails.

Ruben Toledo, who posed with Ringwald on the red carpet, attended the ceremony to accept the newly renamed Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute in honor of his wife, who passed away in 2019.

For the evening, Toledo chose a mostly black ensemble featuring a military-inspired blazer with two chest and two front patch pockets. The jacket’s granddad collar offered a twist on the traditional blazer collar. He paired it with a white button-down shirt, a gray necktie, slim chinos and black derbies.

The 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards took place at the American Museum of Natural History in New York on Monday, with Cynthia Erivo as host. Honorees at this year’s ceremony included Coach, Michael Kors, Annie Leibovitz and Erykah Badu, who received the coveted Fashion Icon Award.
