If you’re one of the likely millions subscribed to the Reformation newsletter, you probably received an email on Friday afternoon detailing a surprising new collaboration featuring designer Clare Waight Keller. And shortly soon after you may have started to see social media stories about the intimate party in Paris attended by influential fashion people like Dree Hemingway and Tish Weinstock that launched the collection. Compared to the usual zingy Reformation announcements, this one was more subtle and—dare we say it—demure, featuring very little description of the collection to come other than it would be a semi-precious collection for your wrists, ears, and décolletage.
The 14-piece collection—Reformation’s first-ever jewelry collaboration—launches today and features an array of heirloom-quality pieces. Think teardrop earrings, delicate chains, and statement cuffs that can take you from every day to all your upcoming holiday parties, all in 24-karat gold vermeil, 925 sterling silver, and semi-precious stones. In keeping with Reformation’s sustainable raison d’etre, the pieces are all made from recycled metals and deadstock stones, and range in price from $168-$898.

The Los Angeles–born Reformation, beloved by millennials for its focus on responsible design and great price point, is currently experiencing a boom in popularity with Gen Z, both in America and in Europe, thanks to its viral social media marketing. “It’s become well-known and extremely popular with young teens and early twenties girls, including my daughters,” Waight Keller said over Zoom. Now that she’s been named creative director at Uniqlo, social media is fueling new interest in the designer’s decades-long career. On TikTok and X, you’ll often see screen grabs and explainer videos of her most memorable contributions from her time at Givenchy and Chloé.
As a lover of jewelry (from both the designer and customer perspective), Waight Keller has a few favorites from this collaboration. “The face is always an important element of dressing. You are always looking at yourself from that point down, and earrings make an impact,” she says. “The ones I made for Ref have a delicate more feminine sort of floral shape with a chandelier drop. And on the other hand, you have the more bold and modern pieces with a tubular and clean-lined aesthetic. I was able to encompass both sorts of approaches and personalities for the way I like to see jewelry.” Along with earrings, sculptural cuffs are hero items for the designer. Not only will they look great with a tuxedo jacket, which is how Waight Keller styled hers at the party last week, they can be the focal point to your ’fit when you wear a classic LBD. And don’t sleep on the Coco Mariner belt. It’s a two-for-one that can accessorize your clothes as a low-slung belt or worn as a wrap necklace if you so choose.

Once you buy your jewelry, Waight Keller has a tip for keeping it as beautiful as the day you got it. “Put it in the little bags it comes with,” she says. “It helps with scratching and just the overall kind of tarnishing and discoloration. You want to get the most longevity out of your jewelry. That’s the goal really with sustainability, to have a long life and to take care of it that way.”
