A man's inventive hiding place for the engagement ring he proposed to his fiancée with has left viewers online in hysterics.

Isaiah Rice (@.isaiahrice) took to TikTok on October 20 to show off the bizarre yet brilliant way that he concealed the diamond ring from his other half. The post, which walks viewers through the ring's elaborate hiding place on a kitchen counter, has been viewed more than 17 million times, drawing a flurry of amused comments from TikTok users.

Rice showed off his impressive Lego display in the video, taking pride in its place on a kitchen counter. The Lego set is a model of the Barad-dûr, also known as the "dark fortress," from The Lord of the Rings saga. Rice, who has 1,900-plus followers on the platform, opened up what appeared to be a hidden compartment in a central black throne to reveal the diamond ring.

An overlaid text on the video read: "How did you keep your ring hidden from your fiancée?"

"The response to the video is far beyond what I imagined," Rice, who aspires to be a fitness content creator, told Newsweek. "Conversation in the comments has been varied, with people rushing to check their significant others' Legos, congratulations on the witty hiding spot and engagement, and concerns for the Legos being tossed out before or after the proposal.

"All I can say is, please don't ruin a proposal, and thank you for the compliments!"

Rice adds that his fiancée is "mature [and] loving" and that she would never have accidentally thrown out his Lego castle and, with that, the ring.

"And at the end of the day, I love her more than plastic," he said.

Rice's post has been liked more than 2 million times to date. He has drawn praise from viewers, many of whom applauded his extravagant Lego model and the unique hiding place of his engagement ring.

"That must have cost a fortune," one viewer, @w8hja13, said.

Another, @windows, wrote: "The BIGGEST of green flags."

"I knew he could afford a nice ring when he could afford all those Legos," @zy_fe, wrote.

"if he doesn't hide the ring in Barad-dûr the fortress of the dark Lord Sauron then you shouldn't want him," another viewer, @eugentleman, said.

"A place she will never look," Tate's Bake Shop (@tatesbakeshop) commented.

Other viewers have shared similar experiences in the comments.

"Stop because my husband had mine hidden inside of a Lego Star Wars dog looking machine. Lol," one viewer, @hil_ebenhoeh, said.

"I hid it in my Legos too until I was ready to give it to her," TikToker @soul3ntertainment said.

Another, @providedchaos, commented: "I hid it in one of her old purses that was in the closet. I probably hid it there for years."
